Mission Statement:
My purpose is to help people recognize their natural talents and abilities, then help them apply these in such a way as to bring enjoyment and success into their lives. ~Rick Duff
Where your talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies your vocation.
~Aristotle
Rick Duff has a Masters Degree in Business. For thirty years, he sold real estate, worked in property management, and was an investment analyst. During that time, he regularly put in eight-to-ten-hour workdays — and he eventually realized that it took him an average of two additional hours each evening just to recover from the stress he’d accumulated in the office. In spite of his outward success, Rick knew on a deeper level that something was wrong, and that there had to be a better way to spend his days. Could there possibly be a fulfilling career out there, one that would fit him perfectly?
It wasn’t until he took a career aptitude test that he fully recognized that he was in the wrong line of work for his particular talents and personality. The testing revealed that Rick’s natural skills — the ability to generate ideas, strong visualizing capabilities, and excellent conceptual thinking — made him an ideal candidate for a career in counseling, where he has excelled.
Rick is constantly learning. Inspired to help others avoid the years of career frustration he experienced, he became trained and certified by the reputable Rockport Institute and Browning Group International to analyze and apply their test results. The information that can be gleaned from these particular test results never fails to amaze and intrigue him — and putting it all together in a way that is meaningful for his clients has become the career of his dreams.
When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds; your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
~Patanjali (mystic, circa 120 B.C.)
